Minister By Day - DJ By Night

Kind of like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, but who we are talking about is Dennis W Rader.  He is going to be our wedding ceremony officiant AND the DJ for the reception- how awesome is that?

It's the best idea EVER- to combine the services of an officiant and DJ in one- it makes it so easy for couples, especially in destination weddings.

Although we have only communicated by e-mail with Dennis, he is super professional, asks a bunch of questions, and seems genuinely interested in us.  Plus, not only was he referred by our wedding contact at Bay Point in Florida, he is all over the TheKnot.com website and listed on the WeddingWire Best Bride's Choice Award for Officiant for 2010 and 2011 (an award that represents the top 5 percent of WeddingWire's vendor community, as determined by recent reviews and extensive surveys).

Instead of the Unity Candle for the ceremony, we plan on having a Unity Vase with colored sand- we each get to pick a color and make sand art.  Remember those sand art bottles that were popular in the 90's?  We are going to get one to keep forever AND it's going to have our wedding date and names etched in it.  How throw-back totally rad are we now?

So now- our only job is to work on getting the weddings vows to him before the big day.
